Today we share an exciting update from Imvepi Refugee Settlement! 🌞 One year after the installation of a 2kWp off-grid solar system by Solar Pesa at the e-waste hub, the positive impact of solar energy to power sustainable solutions is evident! 🌍
Thanks to the Energy Solutions for Displacement Setting (ESDS) project, led by GIZ and supported by the German Government and partners, the e-waste hub now efficiently collects, repairs, and recycles e-waste like solar lanterns, radios, TVs, torches, phones, and even offers mobile phone charging services in a refugee settlement in Uganda. 📱♻️
For Solar Pesa, monitoring the hub’s solar system performance has been seamless, thanks to the Innovex remote monitoring platform, REMOT. 📊 Through the REMOT platform, we have observed that daytime energy usage aligns perfectly with solar generation, ensuring optimal performance of the lithium-ion battery. The battery voltage consistently remains above the nominal 25.6V DC, highlighting the system’s robust functionality.
